New York — February 13, 2020
Piano, the leading subscription, data management and customer experience technology provider with over 300 major customers, today announces it has received ISO/IEC 27001:2013, the international standard to measure the implementation and maintenance of effective Information Security Management Systems.
“Piano is delighted to have received the ISO 27001:2013 certification, the latest step in our ongoing commitment to information security,” said Stuart Ashford, Chief Security Officer at Piano. “As a modern, forward-looking business, Piano recognizes that there is a need to ensure that its business operates smoothly and without interruption for the benefit of its customers, shareholders and other stakeholders, and that we maintain the highest of security protocols in doing so.”
As the global standard for information security management, ISO 27001:2013 certification is awarded as the end result of a year-long process covering analysis, execution and Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits. It demonstrates Piano’s ongoing commitment to quality assurance through the provision of superior operational processes, and ensures the highest level of information security policies, procedures and risk management are in place. By implementing these protocols, Piano protects revenue streams and company profitability, and ensures the secure delivery of services to customers by maintaining confidentiality, integrity and availability, maintaining and enhancing the value of the business and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
“We are committed to delivering information security through all levels of the organization,” Ashford said. “That is demonstrated through our information security policy and the provision of appropriate resources to establish and develop the Information Security Management System.”
