Piano Named Organization of the Year in 2021 Sales and Marketing Technology Awards

The Business Intelligence Group has recognized Piano, a global analytics and activation platform, as Organization of the Year in the 2021 Sales and Marketing Technology Awards. Known as “The Sammys,” the awards program honors the organizations and products helping to solve challenges in connecting and collaborating with prospects and customers.

When the COVID-19 pandemic impacted many sectors, Piano provided a necessary and complementary solution for a market that experienced high growth and engagement as consumers flocked to support national and local media outlets.

As subscriptions surged in early 2020, many publishers recognized the need to remain nimble in their approach to data-driven customer experiences in light of the unique challenges presented by the pandemic. To help guide clients’ subscription businesses, Piano conducted tailored assessments and released proprietary benchmark updates, analyzing data around digital engagement, conversion and retention trends.

“The COVID-19 pandemic presented a new set of challenges for publishers and marketers that challenged everyone in our industry. Stepping up to the plate required Piano and our clients to think both analytically and creatively about designing the most valuable digital experiences for customers,” said Trevor Kaufman, CEO, Piano. “I am so proud of what our team has accomplished over the last year and to have this work recognized by the Business Intelligence Group.”

The Business Intelligence Group was founded with the mission of recognizing true talent and superior performance in the business world. Unlike other industry awards programs, business executives with relevant experience and knowledge judge the group’s awards. The group’s proprietary and unique scoring system selectively measures performance across multiple business domains and rewards companies whose achievements stand above those of their peers.

“We are proud to reward and recognize Piano for their innovation and dedication to helping both the organization using their technology and the ultimate consumer,” said Maria Jimenez, chief nominations officer, Business Intelligence Group. “It was clear to our judges that their efforts will improve how we all connect with the brands we love for years to come.”

In addition to this Sammys honor, Piano also received Product of the Year from the Business Intelligence Group in 2020, in addition to recognition as one of the fastest-growing, most innovative technology companies in the world by Red Herring, World Economic Forum and Deloitte. So far in 2021, Piano has also nabbed a Data Management Solution of the Year award from Data Breakthrough and been named a finalist in the 2021 Digiday and INMA awards programs.
